ReviewGoals_05_2016

“Adapt and overcome”

May 2016, time for review and readjustments.
Scratched: I change my plan
Green, I did it!
Red, failed…

Money:
I’ll easily save 300 euros per month
Except for the last month because I booked a lot of travels.
Altruism:
Give 10 euros per month to an association
I didn’t take care of that so far.
Attend every Monday night training event at the first aid association + a week-end per month
Honestly, it’s a bit boring and tough sometimes (it’s only in german) but… Well I should volunteer.
Health :
I’ll easily drink 3L of water per day
I’ll easily eat at least a fruit and a vegetable per meal
I’ll easily avoid every kind of candy at all (except black chocolate)
I’ll easily eat one fork of sauerkraut (I think I hate it but I’m not sure)
I didn’t have the occasion.
I’ll easily do my morning routine during weekdays:
-Wake up at 5.30/6am (get 8hours of sleep)
It’s actually still a bit too early, I don’t get enough sleep because it’s too warm to sleep before 10pm.
-Drink water
-5 min of meditation
-Smile for a minute
–4 x 40 abs, 40*push-ups, 40*back exercices, 40*lift weight, 40*squats
I do more.
-Cold shower
-Priorities of the day
–Things I like about my life
I usually forgot to do so.
–Gratitude
-Exciting ideas about my close future (what did I planned which is cool)
(Remember what I should focus on, and that life is awesome^^)
I’ll easily do my evening routine during weekdays 
–read for 30 minutes
 -Plan the next day

I usually forgot or get to tired. Maybe I should plan it before I start reading.
Social :
I’ll easily go out for a social event once a week
Usually I go out on saturday night or during some events during the week (pizza night, MMA in a park with a friend, salsa night, Tuesday international).
I’ll easily talk to my friends and family (in France) once a week.
Energy:
I’ll easily party hard once a month.
Oh my god I love it. Such an easy goal 🙂
Sport :
I’ll easily go to the MMA training at least 4 times a week
My MMA trainer offered me a side job as a running coach!
I’ll easily run 50 minutes or bike 2/3h every Sunday if nothing else planned
Basically, I biked because I’m already running with the MMA team.
Creativity :
I’ll easily blog 3*45 min per week.
It’s quite tough, I’m busy with my project.
I’ll easily update personal diary once a week.
20 % YOLO :
I’ll easily lie down in a crowded public space for 10 sec
I’ll easily sing in a crowed public space
I’ll easily go to a club and dance all night alone (but won’t stay alone)
I just can’t find the motivation.
Culture :
I’ll easily read a book per month (other than professional) and summarise it on the blog.
Mostly yes, check books summary.
Learning:
I’ll easily read 4 pages of a statistical book per working day
Yeah, I’m done with Abu Mostafa (Learning from data) and I started “introduction to statistical learning” Hastie, Tibshirani and colleagues.
I’ll easily look at 2 Nilearn examples per working day
I did it but not seriously enough.
I’ll easily study German for 45 min per working day (obj: the A2 level in September 2016)
However, MMA trainings and first aid trainings are in german so not that bad!
I’ll easily play chess, read or read a german book during transportation time 
I’m always reading no matter what and that’s a great habit.
I’ll easily spend 5*45min per day focused on my PhD project
Mostly yes, I’m quite serious.
 
Admin stuff:
I’ll register to the Zurich conference in computational psychiatry

Can’t wait!!
I’ll  successfully pass the medical terminology exam

Failed, I didn’t take care enough of that, next exam in two weeks.
I’ll easily register at the CDS and French Ambassade
I’ll easily finish the introduction of the article

But almost done, I switched to the discussion.
I’ll easily finish the review for the IRT project

“Novelty is the great parent of pleasure”

Money:
I’ll easily save 300 euros per month
(Get a security with money)
Altruism:
Give 10 euros per month to an association
Volunteer every Monday night at the first aid association + a week-end per month
(meet people, good for society, sense of purpose, make a difference, make an impact, to share, personal growth and self esteem, learn, know the local community, integration in Germany, challenge,…)
Health :
I’ll easily drink 3L of water per day
(Stay hydrated, control calories, energise muscles, body health, maintain normal Bowel Function, fatigue buster…)
I’ll easily eat at least a fruit and a vegetable per meal
(Body health, fiber, vitamins & minerals, prevent diseases)
I’ll easily avoid every kind of candy at all (except black chocolate)
(No nutritional value, dependance, too much calories, unhealthy: liver, insulin, fat, heart…)
I’ll easily eat one fork of sauerkraut (I think I hate it but I’m not sure)
(Going out of my comfort zone, healthy food, increasing likelihood of eating healthier)
I’ll easily do my morning routine during weekdays:
-Wake up at 6/6.30am (get 8hours of sleep)
(Much more time to enjoy life, get out of my confort zone, Much more productive on morning)
-Drink water
-5 min of meditation
(inner peace, self awareness, relax, consciousness, inspiration, better concentration)
-Smile for a minute
(Against stress, better mood, immune system, fun, feel better)
–4 x 50 abs, 50*push-ups, 50*back exercices, 40*lift weight, 40*squats, 10*Martial mov
(Get ready for the cold shower, benefits of sport in general)
-Cold shower
(alertness, skin&hair, immunity, blood circulation, metabolic properties, speed up muscles recovery, get out of my confort zone, be tougher,  improve mood, increase testosterone levels, better breathing)
-Plan my day

(Benefits of sport in general: Body/mind health, improved cognitive functions, mood, immune system, energy, strength, sleep, fun, challenge, out of comfort zone, confidence, de-stress, look handsome)
Creativity :
I’ll easily write an article about nutrition, psychological tips for a long run, training for a long run.
(Improve writing skills, have fun, be useful,…)
I’ll easily update personal diary once a week.
(Record special&normal events, thoughts, feelings…, follow my evolution, therapy for bad days, writing skills (I do it in english and german), assess mistakes and success)

(exiting, discovering, get out of my comfort zone, avoid regrets, improve confidence, fun)
Culture :
I’ll easily read a book per month (other than professional) and summarise it on the blog
(verbal abilities, writing skills,  concentration, improve the world, my imagination, be smarter, be more interesting and attractive, de-stress, memory, discover and create myself, fun, inspiration, escape from the real world)
Learning:
I’ll easily read 4 pages of a statistical book per working day
I’ll easily look at 2 Nilearn examples per working day
I’ll easily get the A2 level in german in September 2016)
I’ll easily learn a new german song
I’ll easily read during transportation time 
I’ll easily spend 5*45min per day focused on my PhD project
(Awareness of what’s going on, fun, become a data scientist, job opportunities, making sense of the world around, important almost everywhere, useful, improve my life, speak three languages, focus, IQ, exercise both side of the brain, creativity, memory, problem-solving skills, reading skills, teaches planning and foresight)
Admin stuff:
I’ll  successfully pass the medical terminology exam (2ond time)
I’ll easily have a complete manuscript ready for publication
I’ll easily finish the review for the IRTG project
(Become a Data Scientist: programming, writing & statistics skills, be useful, be that mother f#cker great researcher)
